What is HP Kids Fund?

HP Kids Fund is a new half-a-million dollar program created by HP Australia, as a sign of our commitment to education and the future of Australian school kids. Through this fund, HP champions innovation by enabling technology to be used by Australian schools to further Australian kids’ STEM learnings.

HP Kids Fund runs four intakes per year, providing a total of 50 grants throughout the whole duration of the program and each grant is valued at $10,000 to be used towards the purchase of HP technology.

Eligibility criteria / how do I apply?

All teachers and principals in Australian schools are eligible to apply.

All school teachers and principals in Australia are eligible to apply. Applications for the 1st intake are now closed and we’re currently reviewing all applications.

Step 1: Take a short, engaging video (max. 60 seconds) describing how this grant could:
  • Help students at your school be more innovative
  • Help your students achieve better STEM learning outcomes

When can I apply / when are grants available?

We run four intakes per year, providing schools with $10,000 grant each.

1st intake dates

  1. Applications are now open until 18th June 2018.
  2. Judging period: 25th June 2018 to 9th July 2018.
  3. Successful applicants will be notified on 16th July 2018.

What is Code Camp?

Code Camp provides sessions to kids, teaching them how to code. Coding encourages kids’ learning and development through problem solving, creativity and computational thinking. By the end of the sessions, kids have their own app that is downloadable via Code Camp App, available in iOs and Android app store.

What is Code Camp World?

Code Camp World is an online learning platform teaching kids how to code. It lets kids unleash their creativity, ideas and story-telling to the world. The aim of this project is to enable kids create their own mobile apps in a fun and challenging environment, bringing coding and project based learning together.

What’s the process if my school is successful in the grant application?

HP will contact you and send a representative to help you decide which HP products are best suited to your school’s learning outcomes.

If our school is successful – when can we expect to receive the products?

Depending on the product availability, it may take up to 4 weeks before you receive your products.

If our school is unsuccessful – can I apply again in the next round?

Yes you can reapply in the next round. We look forward to receiving your applications.

When can I expect my subscription to Code Camp World?

Code Camp World is currently still being built and you can expect to receive a subscription when the platform is ready, expected to launch in mid-2018. As soon as it’s ready, HP will send you an email with details on how you can access your subscription and the platform.

When will I hear back from HP?

For queries, we will endeavour to get back to you usually within 48 hrs.

In regards to your applications, we will contact you the day after the judging period has closed if you made it as one of our finalists. For the successful applicant, we will contact you on 12th Mar 2018 and we will also announce it on our website and social media.
